The Public Company Morona Construye su Desarrollo (Morona-EP) is an entity created by the Decentralized Autonomous Municipal Government of the Morona canton through Ordinance No. 024-2021, published in the Official Registry No. 558 on October 14, 2021. Morona-EP is a public law company with its own legal personality, budgetary, financial, economic, administrative and management autonomy, subject to the legal system of Ecuador and the internal regulations issued by the company.
The main purpose of Morona-EP is the administration, maintenance, and operation of municipal public services. This includes the planning, organization, execution, and operation of public services and facilities delegated by the Municipal Government of the Canton of Morona, with the goal of meeting the needs of the region and improving the canton's infrastructure, roads, housing, and urban amenities.
Morona-EP has its main office in the city of Macas, in the canton of Morona, and its office is located in the Roberto Villarreal Land Terminal. Its responsibilities include managing the Roberto Villarreal Land Terminal, including its administration, maintenance, leasing, and operation, in accordance with agreements signed with the Municipal Government.
